Outdoor Patio Designs

Can you believe Summer is already almost over?! One more week until Labor Day, which in our household usually means Summer is pretty much over and I can start pulling out the fall décor. This year though, we are in a slightly different place. We literally just moved to Texas (I’m still waiting on our stuff to arrive from California), to a small town made famous by this super cute couple on TV. Our plan was never to be in this area per se but we love it so far since we were able to find a tiny home (I’m talking under 600 square feet) with a HUGE backyard!

I would say one of the main reasons we picked this particular property to settle down on for now was strictly for the yard space. Coming from the Bay Area with a tiny condo size backyard, our two pups now have almost half an acre to run around in.

Since the house is really nothing special and we hope to renovate it and expand at some point down the line, the backyard has become my main priority. Right now it is a little overgrown but the possibilities back there are endless! I’d love to add in a pool, fireplace, cabana style entertainment area and eating space with beautiful cafe lighting throughout.

With summer coming to an end, now is the perfect time to shop for new patio furniture since most retailers are looking to move products in place of new Fall merchandise. One of my favorite retailers with beautiful outdoor furniture is Ballard Designs. It can be a little pricy, but is high quality, a variety of fabric and color options, and will last for years! I can’t wait until we can get back there and start working on the yard so we can all enjoy being outdoors through the end of the warm season.
